Does it have to be solid silver? You can get silver plated 30 AWG copper wire with a teflon coating inside of some co-axial cables. Eleven bucks on the bay will get you 25'. You'd have to strip off the outer shield. Extra work but pretty cheap.

Buss bars from (certain) old organ keyboards. Palladium rib's are a bonus. 9 x 3+ octaves a whack. Free if you know where to look...
My collection went to the smelter awhile back or I'd send you some.![]()

Hey A by G
I probably got my M's and T's crossed with my L's again! I defer to GM for the correct
acronym an correct box sizing for said box.............
But this is my second try at these boxes for my 604-8K's. The first were 44" H 19" W
X 20" Depth and were of MDF. Those MDF boxes were destroyed by the flood of 2007.
The replacements cabinets are Baltic Birch Dovetailed and braced to the max. I wanted a little bigger box this time so I went with 44" H X 19" W X 24" depth....... I'm glad I did.
I think the little extra volume gave me a little deep low end than I had before and the BB just kills MDF for tone.
So now the serach is on for internal wiring, I just want to pay a reasonable price for a hi-performance wire.
Thanks
Have fun!

MLTL.......
As a general rule-of-thumb, 'BIB' rules (bigger is better) with Vb = Vas, Fb = Fs the point of diminishing returns WRT high compliance (Vas) drivers, so a long way to go before 'stretching' your cabs reaches it.The trade-off of such a large, low tuned cab is a higher F3, but between speaker system losses and room gain, they typically sound ~tonally balanced with plenty of LF 'fill' and mid-bass 'Slam' while typically having as good an impulse response as a critically damped sealed alignment (0.5 Qtc) except with more gain BW.
Best bang/buck wire is coil winding wire with the sizes chosen based on loading, so the horn wiring will be a somewhat smaller gauge than the woofer's.

Man Drummer,
I have told you all ready, but I really lusty after those dovetail joints on your speakers....
I will definitely will do this on my next set.... which with my current 620's/604's, I haven't even had time to finish... which I'll admit is a shame on my part!!!
So much stuff going on this summer.... can't wait till the kids get back in school and it cools off!!
Have you tried Magnet Wire, cheap at rat shack... Also look into using cat5/6 network wire... Heard it has been used to some success too.......
You still have your A7's? Which do you prefer? Or does it depend on mood/music and whatever else?
Again, great looking speakers!!!....

Back in the day when I was a tweak freak, purchased a pound of pure silver wire, 20 gauge, from Handy&Harmon for less than the cost of decent speaker cables, DIYed all my cable needs and had enough leftover to sell to my brother to cover the cost, and any future projects.
Silver was about $6 per ounce back then.
Far less expensive than any retail supplier of silver products.
Cheers
Yo Chris
My A7's aren't going anywhere, their sound is so different from the MLTL 604's there's a place in my heart and basement for both.
I'm still trying to decide whether to CL my Valancia's , that make my listening choices easier.
Have fun!
